McCloud Guest House

The Guest House is operated seasonally as a 7 bedroom historic inn plus a 2 bedroom, 2 bath caretakers cottage.  Each room has a private bath and has been lovingly updated with its own characteristic charm and decorated with period antiques.  Your stay includes a gourmet 2-course breakfast served in our elegant dining area, or on the verandah during the summer months. Free Wi-fi.  The shared common area includes a cozy library and game room with an antique billards table from the Hearst collection plus a TV room. Three stone fireplaces add to the inn's historic character and highlight it's unique charm.

Nestled on 7 acres and registered as part of the historic district in McCloud Ca, what once was headquarters for The McCloud River Lumber Company has been transformed into a charming 5 room Historic Craftsman Bed and Breakfast. Open year-round and built 1903 The McCloud River Inn Bed and Breakfast holds a tremendous amount of town history still visible for our guests today. The McCloud Valley Bank built in 1904, a vault with its safe deposit boxes where the deed to each home in town as well as personal information for each gentleman working at the mill was once stored while original blades from the 2-blade bandsaw at the Mill currently hang in our lobby and are an amazing sight. What once served as offices for the Switchboard Operator and President for the Lumber Company have been transformed into individual guest rooms. While staying with us you’ll enjoy a thoughtfully planned complete breakfast each morning, and fresh baked treats in the afternoon. Relax on our spacious deck keeping warm from the fire pit while facing Main Street overlooking an acre of grass with Aspens, Cedars and Firs in the background, or sit by the fire inside with a book and glass of wine. The McCloud River, it’s 3 Falls and dozens of trails are within a short 20-minute drive. With activities year-round such as snow skiing and shoeing, snowmobiling, hiking, fly fishing, swimming, horseback riding and the majestic view of Mt Shasta McCloud is sure to become your favorite destination.

McCloud Timber Inn

The McCloud Timber Inn is a historic apartment complex built by the McCloud River Lumber Co. in the 1940’s.  Today, you may choose from 7 one or two bedroom suites.  3 one bedrooms suites are 600 sq. ft. each, with a large bedroom and a second smaller sleeping area, kitchen and private bath. There are 4 two bedroom suites, each 715 sq. ft. with a living room, two bedrooms, kitchen and bath.  The efficiency kitchens in all 7 suites come with refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers and utensils – everything but full sized ranges. Gas BBQ available upon request.

Shasta View Lodge

The Shasta View Lodge caters to the traveler providing the rustic feel of a cabin with amenities of a hotel. Original beams, the original “New Century Wood Stove” and historical photos from the early 1900s create a cozy atmosphere of nostalgia and honor for days gone by. Shasta View Lodge boasts seven spacious and comfortable guest rooms each uniquely decorated and named after a west coast hiking trail.

Stoney Brook Inn

This truly unique building has received historical designation and been fully renovated, yet retains its cozy character. Its soothing ambiance invites you home to unwind and relax under the pines in the outdoor hot tub and sauna, on the spacious front porch, or to lounge by the fire in the winter.
